Moving Images

American documentary filmmaker Ken Burns recently talked about his views on the technique often used in historical films to bring photos “alive” – particularly when there is no other archival footage available.  In a similar way,  Her Aim is True director Karen Whitehead worked very closely with editor Kelli Boyd and art director, Gabe Kean to really make Jini’s 50 year old archive resonate with the audience and enhance our telling of Jini’s remarkable story as an artist with a very indie spirit, defying conventional approaches to rock n roll photography and album covers in the 1960s. You can listen to his remarks here  and the production team will be blogging more about the unique approaches and techniques we used in post production
